A little about me:
I am ‘Rahul Singh Guleria’. I have done my schooling in various parts of India (studied in 8 schools in 5 states). Having completed by engineering degree from NIT and an MBA from FMS Delhi, I have worked in private sector in India for more than a couple of decades particularly in the information technology sector in various roles both in India as well in US, UK and Japan. Today I am an entrepreneur running my own IT company/startup.
My Interests:
Reading, trekking and photography has been few of my hobbies for many years. In reading, war history and political history have been areas of interest to me. Family history in general has been somewhat of an interest to me and I have always enjoyed listening to stories of our ancestors unlike some folks who get bored with these old stories.
Why I made this website:
As an intersection of my interests and capabilities around information technology, I realised I might be one of few, best placed to document my ancestry and a bit of our ‘Guleria’ heritage that we can all share and expand. Documenting a family tree for myself on a document would have been an exercise limited to myself and my near dear ones. But wanted it to a collaborative endeavour where there is scope for sharing, participation and most importantly expansion. Hence my effort to create ‘gulerias.com’.
