Education: She could read and write Hindi. This was most probably taught to her at tuitions at home.

Occupation: She was a house wife who took care of the house. In Darkati she took care of the complete household. She was a disciplinarian and saw to it that every one else in the family also maintained that. All her sons, daughter in laws and grand children followed her routine in running of the house. She was extremely regular in her prayers every morning and evening. Plucking flowers from the back garden to be offered to the Gods as part of the prayers.    

She was referred to affectionately by the Grand children as ‘Dadi Amma’
